Strength, by Tom Mukasa

Strength

A strong man lives as part of his community,
he is part of what is right and wrong,
he is slow in raising his voice in anger,
for he knows anger is danger, it blinds and ruins,
he is content with his masculinity,
the stronger man embraces simplicity,
the complicated is studied and approached sanely,
unraveling what he needs to solve,
this man is a balm that heals, a salve
he is content with continuity,
the strongest man understands gifts,
from femininity, masculinity and in-between,
astuteness, strength and decisiveness,
logic, endurance, intuition and judgment,
are gifts he uses and shares indiscriminately.
