By A Ship

our common conveyance,
whose captain,
must follow,
a path,
that does,
not stray,
were the jolly,
and,
the hidden,
the merry,
and,
the sufferers,
above decked,
below decked,
how different,
were these decks,
for here,
it is with song one enters,
down there,
it is with savage lamentation,
above the deck,
was jolly and pleasure,
ingesting savory,
bloated sage,
below deck,
was hidden treasure,
bathed in waste,
cisterns of sewage,
such things,
can be,
to the jolly,
the captain,
offered wine,
tongues tasted
tannic,
vegetal,
and velvety,
with a creamy,
and bouquet body,
the chewy kind,
only served,
after the closed,
rivaling finesse,
 and flair,
of the jolly,
toasting,
the pleasant finish,
on this deck,
joy,
is made manifest,
by wine,
the deck of joy,
beyond whose,
boundary,
no joy lies,
where brute,
abounds,
not heeding,
worth and knowledge,
A mind confronted,
by a wine feast,
expands,
past itself,
beyond recollection,
A hand,
that swirled,
the glass,
on disembarkment,
with heady swagger,
made for,
the whipping post,
tongues none spared
‘there was a buck to be made,’
't was claimed,
this is,
what became,
of the hidden,
who saw suffering,
new sufferers,
every where,
an eye was set,
to them,
the captain,
offered hide,
only,
 dogged strength,
keeping the,
bruised body,
from being,
shred asunder
and for the wine,
acidic,
brett and barnyard,
exchanged for manillas,
bound by chains,
adorned in excreta,
in the middle passage,
the hide,
ensured obeisance,
most if not all,
for some,
were dead!
On disembarkment,
were herded over,
to the whipping post,
for a nine-and-thirty,
so hard the lashes,
left gross welts,
on the lustrous,
ebony skin,
‘for culture and refinement,’
't was said,
tossed,
whipped,
and torn,
one half of,
worth taken,
but still,
they love,
those,
by whom,
they have,
been hurt,
for it was decreed,
not to take part,
 in love,
humanity,
 could,
come to,
a standstill,
by love,
all souls,
know each other,
one understands perfection,
transcends evil,
the other,
gives love,
and both enter,
into the divine,
essence of things.
